Thursday, Dec 18
Arrival & Welcome
- 🚗 Leave Amman (carpooling arranged).
- 📍 Meet in Wadi Rum Village.
- 🚙 4x4 transfer to our desert camp.
- 🍽️ 20:00: Traditional Bedouin dinner served at the camp.
Friday, Dec 19
Climbing Muzelgah & Burdah Bridge
- 07:00 Breakfast at camp.
- 08:00 Climbing at Muzelgah 4b-6b+ sport routes, multipitch, and trad options. Great opportunity to try trad on top rope!
- 11:00 Wrap up climbing and head for a noon break.
- 11:30 Stop at Lawrence's House and Little Bridge for sightseeing.
- 12:00 Break at the camp and lunch (BYO lunch).
- 13:00 Climb Jabel Burdah We'll take a straight climbing path up to the High Rock Bridge and walk down the Bedouin route.
- 19:00 Dinner served at the camp.
Saturday, Dec 20
Morning Climb & Departure

- 🧗 Morning Climbing Session Depending on weather, we'll head to Qaber Amr, Hash, or other crags. Expect grades 4b-6c.
- 👋 Head home in the afternoon (around noon/early afternoon).

Frequently Asked Questions
🚌 How do I get to Wadi Rum?
You can take the JETT bus from Amman to Wadi Rum Village, or we'll connect you with other climbers going so you can share cars and split gas costs. Carpooling is common and a great way to meet your fellow adventurers before the trip even starts!
🧗 Do I need to be a strong climber?
Not at all! If you enjoy top rope climbing and can climb 5a (French grade), you'll enjoy climbing at Wadi Rum just like you do in the gym. We have routes for all levels, and our guides will help you find climbs that match your ability.
⏰ What time do we need to arrive at Rum?
We're flexible! Anytime between 4pm and 8pm works. Our 4x4 cars will be there to pick you up from the village and take you to camp.
🏠 What time can we head home on Saturday?
We aim to be back at the village by 3pm at the latest, so you can be back in Amman by 6-7pm. Perfect timing for Sunday plans!
🥗 I'm vegetarian/vegan... can you accommodate?
Absolutely! Our food is diverse and we accommodate all allergies and dietary needs. Just let us know when you book and we'll make sure you're well taken care of.
🎒 What gear should I bring?
We provide all climbing gear (harness, helmet, ropes). You just need to bring: comfortable hiking/climbing shoes, warm layers for evenings, sleeping bag (or rent one), headlamp, personal water bottle, and sunscreen. Full packing list will be sent after booking.
🌡️ What's the weather like in December?
December is perfect for climbing! Days are sunny and pleasant (15-20°C), great for climbing. Nights can be cold (5-10°C), so bring warm layers. The desert sky will be crystal clear for stargazing.
⛺ Do I need camping experience?
No camping experience needed! Our camp is set up with everything you need. We provide tents, meals, and facilities. Just bring your sleeping bag and sense of adventure.
🧗♂️ I've never done trad climbing - is that okay?
Absolutely! We'll have you try trad on top rope first, which means you have the safety of a top rope while experiencing what trad climbing feels like. It's a great introduction with zero pressure.
🚿 Are there showers and facilities at camp?
We have basic bathroom facilities at camp. Showers are available in the village before departure. This is authentic desert camping - part of the adventure! Bring wet wipes for freshening up.
